Exercise Usability Methods: Personas

KDE Coding Marathon

Language: English

Check the Schedule for an overview of all talks during this conference.

Speakers: Tina Trillitzsch, Florian Graessle

Personas are single fictitious users that describe the goals and personal characteristics of a larger user group. They are used as a substitute for real users, helping to make decisions about the design of an application. Personas are useful to keep the focus on real users and their goals instead of thinking only in terms of a fuzzy "average user".

During the excercise we will explain how to develop personas and then, together with the participants, develop a set of personas for an example application.
